MTK sorig production unit readies for opening in Panipat
The building & factory of the
proposed Men-Tsee-Khang Sorig Product Unit completed its renovation work and is now ready to start actual work-process. Reports the in-charge Mr. Tamdin Tsering.
The registration of the non-pollutant factory is currently in the process. The installation of commercial transformer and legal obligations to change the name of landowner from TWYC into Men-Tsee-Khang Sorig Produc-tion Unit are the two main tasks that await government’s decision. The Men-Tsee-Khang took over the firm from the Finance Department, Central Tibetan Administration, who earlier owns the land.
The Men-Tsee-Khang intends to manufacture Sorig incenses in the two buildings, each having 7650 sq. feet apart from office buildings, hall and 8 staff quarters covering a total of nearly 2-acre land which is situated 7-8 kms from the main Panipat city.
The current incenses manufacturing unit is based here at the headquarters in Dharamsala. Due to high moist content especially during long monsoon season in Dharamsala has consequently forced the administration to take action to shift the unit in Panipat.
Once the legal obligations are met then the Men-Tsee-Khang will get set to shift the unit to Panipat with few staff, assisted by laborers hired from the locals to provide employment opportunity.
