The message from the Deputy Director’s desk
I am honoured to be appointed to
the post of Deputy Director of Men-Tsee-Khang. Men-Tsee-Khang
is one of the premier institute that works towards preservation,
promotion and propagation of traditional Tibetan medicine
and astrology that has history of more than 2500 years. With
a growing interest on traditional knowledge worldwide, I believe
I have a very challenging work ahead of me. Therefore, I appeal
to all the staff members to co-operate in all the administration
matters. Without co-operation from all the departments concerned,
work will become difficult to accomplish. Therefore, understandably,
it is a vital issue that everyone should keep reminding oneself
in their daily work.
It is equally important that staff members should come up
with constructive suggestion rather than criticising at the
administration and their work because I believe the institute
is like one big family and all the staff its family members.
Therefore, everyone should think rightfully and work towards
the betterment of the institute which will ultimately benefit
the staff themselves.
I strongly feel that I have the backing of the doctors and
astrologers in improving the cultural aspects of Tibetan medicine
and astrology. I genuinely feel the work will achieve greater
heights with their co-operation. I also take this opportunity
to request everyone to be aware of their duties alongside
their rights.
Last but not the least, my greetings and appreciations to
all the members, supporters and well-wishers of Men-Tsee-Khang
for their selfless action without which Men-Tsee-Khang wouldn’t
have come to the point where it today stands.
