My Last Say ...
“Life is a rollercoster” a famous singer Ronan
Keating titled his chartbuster song. I truly believe in it.
You never know what surprises life has in store for you. At
every nook and corner of your life’s journey, surprise
packages are thrown at you. My tenure as the editor of this
newsletter is now coming to an end. It is now eight years
since I was appointed to this post. In between this job, due
to administrative obligations, I was compelled to take up
many additional responsibilities, such as Medicinal Storekeeper,
Sponsorship Secretary, Public Relations Officer. Due to the
very nature of these jobs, the outcome was that few issues
of this newsletter were delayed and suffered to some extent.
I take this opportunity to extend my sincere apology for such
inevitable circumstances that have caused these delays.
I also take this opportunity to sincerely
thank all my valuable readers for the support and encouragement
I received. The cooperation and constructive advice from
all of you throughout the course of my tenure has certainly
kept me going thus far. I am extremely thankful and indebted
for this job which has taught me many valuable lessons that
I shall cherish and put into practice.
I strongly believe in the cyclic existence
of the law of relativity – cause and action. Because
of these karmic relations, I feel I was born as a Tibetan,
and being so it is my right and moral duty to dedicate myself,
as long as I can, to the cause of Tibet whether working
for the preservation of Tibetan culture or for the greater
cause. Thus, I am not running away from the circumstantial
reality in which we Tibetans are placed. However, working
at cultural institution, the contribution of work remained
little constrained in nature. Thus, I believe I can contribute
more, with untainted motivation, by getting directly involved
in campaign coordination for the cause of Tibet. Certainly
with blessings from all my valuable readers I hope to do
justice to the job that I pursue.
My stay at Men-Tsee-Khang for the past 10
years or more have been very fruitful. With growing age
I genuinely feel that I have learnt so much here at Men-Tsee-Khang.
Therefore, I am also thankful to all heads and staff members
for their guidance, understanding and cooperation in making
my job easier.
Finally, I say this with a heavy heart to
all my valuable readers – GOOD BYE! I hope that you
all will extend the same support and encouragement to my
successor. Thank you!
