Deputy director’s message
It
is a great honour for me having being appointed as the Deputy
Director of the Men-Tsee-Khang Institute, which has a record
of 43 years of service to the mankind through traditional
Tibetan Art of Healing, even while we live in India as refugees.
The exile Men-Tsee-Khang was established in Dharamsala,
India, in 1961 and during its 43 years of journey to perfection,
there has been a considerable progress in both its administrative
as well as intellectual aspects of Tibetan Medical System
and Astrology.
As a Deputy Director of the institute I am assigned with
a profound technical respon-sibility of preserving and promoting
the intellectual aspects of the institute. In spite of the
fact that such a huge and hercules task of the institute
shall put me to a very hard test, I am fortunate to have
so many sincere and hardworking staff of the institute to
assist me in this work.
I would look forward to the same cooperation and support
from all concerned in covering this milestone. I wish all
the staff and family members of the institute and also those
who have so far rendered unconditional help and support
to this institute a very Happy New Year. Unitedly we all
will serve the mankind with a renewed zeal and enthusiasm
and shall accord this institute a place worthwhile in the
history of mankind.
Long Live His Holiness The Dalai Lama
Dr Tsewang Tamdin
