Opening Ceremony of TMAI College

Tibetan Medical and Astrology College resumed on 14th March 2008. All the students and staff gathered together in the college hall. This year 27 students of 16th batch new medical students and 9 students of 8th batch new astrological students and 23 students of 2nd year medical students have started their regular routine in this college.

College opening ceremony was held on 17th March, 2008. The chief guests Dr. Dawa, Director of Tibetan Medical and Astrology and Dr. Namgyal Tsering, Deputy Director were present during the ceremony Dr.Tamdin, Principal of the college introduced our college at the ceremony and also welcomed our new batch of Medical and Astrology Students. He strongly advised that the students should know the value of our ancient traditional Tibetan Medicine and Astrological culture. He also said that the students should be very diligent to preserve our ancient traditional Tibetan Medicine and Astrological culture.

The director and Deputy Director also welcomed the new students and they gave speeches on the importance of our ancient traditional Tibetan Medicine and Astrology culture. The director also introduced the administration of Men-Tsee-Khang at the gathering for the new students.

All the speakers advised the students to be very hard working in their study and be punctual, regular and respectful to the elders and the teachers and be friendly among themselves. With these kind advices, the ceremony ended with prayers.
