Medical students undergo final examination
Saturday, October 21, 2006: The 13th recruits of medical students who have completed their five year college-term are presently undergoing final examinations that started on the 19th of October. The students will have to appear for both written and oral examinations. The written examination will be held for 13 days and thereafter 4 days for oral examination with one more additional day for the identification of medicinal plants. Together the time duration for this final examinations is 18 days.
There are 27 students appearing for the final examinations. Out of this 24 students are graduating from Men-Tsee-Khang College and the remaining 3 from the Ladakh Dialectic College. Thereafter, the students have to complete one-year internship work under experienced senior doctors in different branch clinics. The results of this examinations will be announced on the 23rd of March 2008, which is also the founding anniversary of Men-Tsee-Khang as well. The students are required to complete whole six-year course in order to receive a bachelor’s degree in Tibetan medicine.
