Astrological Department:

It was established in the year 1961. Over the years, the Astro. Department has seen much progress and continues to strive towards the accomplishment of our every set goal.

Located within the premises of the Institute itself, the Department with two-office room has fourteen astrologers, two secretaries and an artist as of now.

Aims and Objectives:
Twenty-five Kulikas (Rigden-25) and seven Dharma Kings (Cho-gyal-7) remains one of the immediate objectives of both Astro. Department's daily practices and its Thangka Project. In accordance with the aims of the Department, the staff continues to satisfy the dreams and desires of every individual, thereby benefiting the mankind as a whole.

Activities and achievements:
Astro. Department involves numerous activities based on astrological calculations. The Department produces detailed Tibetan Annual Almanac, pocket-diary and one-page wall-hanging calendar with Thangka painting.

The Department also draws astrological charts, both in English and Tibetan language. Detailed Birth Chart, Medium Chart, Brief Chart, Yearly Chart, Compatibility Chart, Medical Chart and Death Chart are the charts we draw from here. The Astro. Department also brings out two different types of Amulets, general and special one. Predictions are also made concerning favourable days and time for individual, government as well as private organisation to initiate important tasks.
Since 1996, Astro. Department of Men-Tsee-Khang has held nine courses on Tibetan Astronomy and Astrology, which was attended by many people. Lectures and exhibitions were held in different cities of Japan, United States of America, France, England, Switzerland, Italy, Holland, Germany, Sweden, Spain and India. Various publications both in English and Tibetan texts have been published.

Conclusion:
Astro. Department has drawn great number of charts for people in India and abroad so far. Chart orders can be made both by mail and personal visits. For a Detailed and accurate Birth Chart, exact Birth Date, Birth Time, Birth Place and Gender are necessary. Medium and Brief Charts are meant for those who do not have complete birth details. Minor calculations can be done for specific reasons or purposes, and requires birth details as well. For the Death Chart, information of both the birth and death details is required, and calculations will be done on the spot without waiting. Since there are no charges fixed, one can make donation for the same.
