Two MTK doctors receive maiden
registration certificate
As per TibetNet April 17, five
doctors were awarded maiden registration certificates by the
Central Council of Tibetan Medicine during its second founding
anniversary meeting held in Dharamsala.
Dr Pema Dorjee, the Director of
the Sorig Literary Research Department, and Dr Tsewang Tamdin,
the Deputy Director of the Men-Tsee-Khang, were the two amongst
the five recipients from the Men-Tsee-Khang.
As it is said that all material
phenomena animate or inanimate contain relative proportions
of five elements as their material basis. In the Tibetan medical
view, these great elements are also known as cosmic energies.
Owing to the importance of five elements in Tibetan medicine,
the council has decided to award five doctors the introductory
registration certificates. Dr Pema Dorjee was awarded this
certificate on being the first Chairman of the council. Likewise,
in recognition of the Tibetan Medical & Astro. College,
the council awarded Dr Tsewang Tamdin who graduated from this
institute with the registration certificate to represent all
the other graduates from the institute.
The council also welcomed
all the other doctors who have been registered to it to collect
their registration certificates.
