Many of the doctors holding Menpa Kachupa degree, not working in Men-Tsee-Khang often requested us to conduct for them a promotional examination to Menrampa Chungwa degree. The Central Council of Tibetan Medicine had also recommended their request. Hence the matter was taken up in the meeting of the Academic Council of Tibetan Medicine and Astrology of Men-Tsee-Khang on 18/06/2009 wherein it was decided to offer them an opportunity to sit in the promotional examination with Men-Tsee-Khang's X batch doctors and VI batch astrologers. Applicants willing to sit in the examination must fulfill the following conditions:
1. Must be a holder of Kachupa degree from a school or institute of Tibetan Medicine that has registered under the Central Council of Tibetan Medicine.
2. Must have at least 10 years of experience as on 01/06/2009 as a practitioner or on research works or as lecturer in medical profession. For astrologers, must have at least 10 years of experience as on 01/06/2009 in research works on astrology or in publication of almaemac or as a lecturer. A letter in support of the fact should be produced.
(a) Applicants of Tibetan nationals should produce a recommendation letter from the settlement officer or welfare officer of one's domicile and applicants of Indian himalayan natives should produce a recommendation letter from a district gazetted office.
(b) Must produce a verification letter from a cultural institute or a cultural society existed in your locality or domicile.
3. Applicants of Tibetan nationals must have a valid Registration Certificate (RC) from your domicile.
4. Tibetan applicants must produce a letter from the Tibetan Freedom Movement in support of your contribution towards TNDF regularly and upto date.
5. Tibetan applicants must have a letter from Settlement Officer or Welfare Officer in support of the fact that you have not indulged in any activity that is detrimental to Tibet's cause.
All applications must reach to Deputy Director, Men-Tsee-Khang on or before 01/09/2009. Application received after 01/09/2009 shall not be entertained at all. Examination fee and date shall be notified to you accordingly. You must notify your address and phone numbers in your application clearly.
